Wow! What a year. So much happened in 2014 it’s almost hard to recall (I’m still blaming baby brain!)
2013 ended with the birth of our precious Norah Grace. We brought in the New Year with a tiny little infant girl! Our family grew and we are ever so thankful that it did. We’ve celebrated so much this year. Ethan turned nine in February (which means he’s about to turn TEN!) Norah has grown and grown and just doesn’t seem to stop. Nathan and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary in September. Shortly after Norah was born, we moved! We left our old house and moved into my late grandmother’s house in late Spring. We had worked months on end renovating this little house to make it our perfect home. We are so incredibly happy here and plan to spend many more years watching our babes grow in this house!
In Spring of 2014, shortly after our move, I decided to join Melody Hood of Innamorata Photography. I knew it would be a perfect fit for me at the time. Melody is pretty awesome and she runs a wildly successful business out of Chattanooga. I took this time to focus on my family while still working for Innamorata. I photographed a ton of weddings along side Melody as her assistant and also photographed some pretty adorable newborns. Toward the end of the year, I knew it couldn’t last forever. I needed to move on. I missed Urso Photography and my amazing clients I had photographed over the years. I, with a bit of sadness, told Melody I would be leaving and returning to Urso Photography. I’m super thankful for the lessons I’ve learned, the time I spent with Melody and the friendship we now have.
With all that went on in my personal life in 2014, Urso Photography temporarily took the back burner. I focused mainly on taking care of my family and spending a bit more time with friends.
In 2015 I am jumping full force into bringing back Urso Photography. I have many goals for this year! I want to to photograph love! LOTS OF LOVE! I want to capture first kisses for many many newlyweds, to see brothers and sisters playing together while moms and dads snuggle or hold hands, and parents laying eyes on their brand new baby. None of these things could ever be possible without you. My clients, my friends and the people I haven’t met yet.
If you’ve stuck around and are still reading this little post of mine, I thank you. I am so thankful for 2014 and all that the year gave me. I’m more than ready for 2015 and all that it has in store of me, my family and my business! I hope that you all come along for the ride and possibly even take part.
Blessings to you!
